One of the main reasons I love living in this beautiful country we call Canada is the weather. I know it sounds really lame but weather really effects my mood, not to mention activities, and the hassles that come along with bad weather. I love having four distinct seasons that I can count on enjoying every year no matter what. Summer= beach bunny time! Fall= Long hikes surrounded by pretty colours. Winter= Christmas, snowboarding, and too much hot chocolate. Spring= You look forward to it all over again! These are just a few of my favourite parts, the list could go on forever. I worked away all day today and decided a trip to the movies was needed after a long day. I’m obsessed about Twilight. It just came out last week and I heard the line-ups were hours long so I wanted to wait till it died down a bit. Go see it, absolutely amazing!! Makes me want snow white skin with raven black hair ahhh vampires are just so hot Taylor Lautner who plays a werewolf in the flick is only 17 and I actually could not take my eyes off him. Jeeze no boy in my highschool looked like that, apparently I attended the wrong school hehe I can’t wait for the next movie! Who knew me at only 19 could feel like a pervert…. kids are growing up so fast these days!

We have a new addition to the household. Her name is Alice, she is only 3 pounds, tan in colour, and full of endless energy. She is what you call a puggle, a beagle mixed with a pug. Probably the most adorable thing I will ever meet in my life. You may think she looks innocent, don’t be fooled. She has managed to bite everything in site fingers, toes, hair, and human faces included. Cuddling is what she does best, better then any man I have had so far Alice hates to be left alone for any period of time 5 minutes or an hour doesn’t matter. I can tell its going to be one very long weeeekkkkk.

So today I was out and about doing my usual chores. I stopped and picked up some baby spinach for an amazing salad with mandarin oranges I plan on making tonight. I went through the check out paid for my groceries and was met by this little alien machine close to the exit. Next to it was sign advertising all the new release movies along with some great oldies. You pay $2.00 swipe your credit card and can have almost every movie you can think of pop right out!! Mind you it’s only a 24 hour rental but still the coolest thing I have ever seen I rented 3 chick flicks…. looks like I will be staying up late. Do you guys have these mini DVD magical machines where you are!?

Today was a great day for shooting. We usually have been trying to get alot done in a short amount of time to make sure the site was open on schedule. Now we can take our time and make sure things turn out just right! I love the picture from this shoot, I’m wearing a dress I picked up this summer when out of town at the Calgary Stampede. It’s so sooo comfy but still has a bit of attitude and funky style to it.

I need your guy’s opinion on something. I have been having a debate with my friends over who I resemble in a photo. So far the majority votes have been Mandy Moore and a little Tera Patrick. Now take a close look and let me know what you think!!

After the craziness of my house I decided a night of relaxation was much needed. I grabbed one of my best friends and went out to share appies and maybe one too many drinks Lucky for us martinis were on special. My choice was this sassy little drink called “nothing but pink“. It is a a mixture of peach schnapps, watermelon vodka, cranberry juice, and a splash of bellini mmmmm! I can never create the drinks at home the same though, they never taste just right. Off to watch tv cuddled up in bed!

Today is a crazy busy day. My roommates and I have decided we need to change up the decor in our place. So our first big plan, paint…..every single wall! I have spent the morning arguing with way too many girls over what colour this or that should be. I have headache and at this point could honestly could care less!! I think the final decisions are in and were sticking with fairly neutral combos, just to make sure the furniture and pictures co-ordinate. Here is a pic of our entrance, doesn`t look like much, only the first coat is on so much more work to come!!

Today I took the whole morning and the good part of the early afternoon to do some at home spa treatments! If I could go to the salon everyday given time and money provided I would. I love to be touched, scrubbed, massaged, filed, polished, brushed, and everything in between! I did an amazing salt, honey, and tequila scrub in the shower followed by a tingly face mask. I even brushed olive oil into my hair in hopes it will make it silky smooth… a couple more treatments should do the trick I also filed my nails and put a fresh coat of clear polish to make them look salon fresh. Ahhh now the only thing I can truly end the day with is a nap, what a life! :p

Don’t you guys love this replica painting of Marilyn Monroe!!! She has to be one of my all time favourite pin-up girls, c’mon she’s legendary. I don’t think there is one person out there that doesn’t love something about her. I just picked up this picture today for my room, I’m putting it right beside my makeup stand to remind me what true beauty really looks like I’ve heard that she was around a size 10 when she was alive. In todays society we like to praise women for being a 0 or less and the insane things they do to their bodies just to lose those last 5 pounds. My opinion Marilyn rocked it out like no other woman out there. Just looking at this picture reminds me to love what I got and embrace all the flaws, after all thats what makes you beautiful right?

Today I spent the day with some of my close girlfriends. It was great to catch up and of course do a little shopping. I was more in the window shopping mode though as I’m trying to save my money and not collect things I really don’t need! Afterwards I went home made some dinner and decided the weather was so nice I needed to take advantage of it and go for a walk. Bad idea!!! It’s getting dark here way too early, around 4:30 I just hate it. So I’m just minding my own business strolling along and before I know it the cutest baby bear rolls in front of my path! At first I thought it was the most adorable thing alive then I remember momma must be close by. I took off sprinting back towards my house…… at least I got a work out. From now on I’m sticking to daylight nature adventures!
